ABOUT THE STUDIO
The Grounding Studio is a Florida-based ceramic studio founded by Spencer Elizabeth, dedicated to creating handcrafted ceramic objects designed for intentional living and interior spaces. The studio’s work centers on ritual, atmosphere, and the relationship between the vessel's energy and the environments it inhabits.
Working primarily in stoneware, each piece is formed slowly by hand in small batches, balancing organic texture with refined simplicity. Vessels, matcha bowls, and sculptural objects are created to support moments of pause — bringing warmth, tactility, and calm into homes, hospitality spaces, and wellness environments.
Alongside its ceramic practice, The Grounding Studio operates an intimate teaching space in Eastern Florida where small-scale workshops and private instruction foster meaningful connection to clay. Experiences are intentionally personal, encouraging confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of process rather than production.
The studio also develops commission-based work and collaborative installations with local businesses, designers, and wellness spaces, extending its philosophy beyond the studio into lived environments. Through slow craftsmanship and thoughtful design, The Grounding Studio exists to create objects and experiences that invite stillness, presence, and grounding in everyday life.

Each piece I create is wheel-thrown by hand, then carefully trimmed, refined, and hand-painted using underglazes. Every item is kiln fired, glaze fired, and finished with food-safe glazes to ensure both beauty and function.
My work is created slowly and intentionally, inspired by my travels, nature, and lived experience. Some pieces are even made during my travels, adding a unique and meaningful connection to the places that shape each collection.
I design each piece to support daily rituals and mindful living—objects that are meant to be used, held, and lived with over time.
All pieces are made in small, considered batches using thoughtfully and locally sourced materials. Each one is authenticated with my maker’s mark and will carry slight variations in form and detail, a reflection of its handmade nature and individuality.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
A ceramist, communication specialist, and founder and creative director of The Grounding Studio, Spencer Elizabeth discovered in college how working with clay could quiet an anxious mind and bring her fully into the present moment. The act of shaping each piece became a form of meditation—a grounding ritual that continues to guide her creative process today.
Inspired by wellness practices that nurture both mind and body, Spencer creates pieces that are easily integrated into everyday life. Her ceramic style draws from bohemian, coastal, and European vintage influences, expressed through earth tones and organic textures.
Through The Grounding Studio, Spencer creates both practical vessels that enhance daily rituals and decorative works often found in thoughtfully designed spaces such as boutique hotels, spas, and homes seeking warmth and tranquility. She also collaborates with local businesses to host pop-ups, workshops, and bespoke creative gatherings that bring people together through art and shared experience.
