The Grounding Studio is an intimate private creative atelier offering small-group ceramic workshops and wheel-throwing courses in a relaxed, welcoming studio environment. With space for up to four students at a time, each experience is designed to give you room to slow down, learn, experiment, and create at your own pace.

Private Workshop for Two
Create something memorable together.
Designed for two, this intimate wheel-throwing experience is perfect for couples, best friends, birthdays, date nights, or simply spending intentional time together. You’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, create side by side, and have plenty of time to experiment, laugh, and get your hands covered in clay.
4 WEEK WHEEL THROWING COURSE
Ready to go beyond a single workshop?
This four-week immersive course is designed to take you through the foundational process of wheel throwing while giving you the time and repetition needed to actually build your skills. With a small group and personalized instruction, you’ll progress from your first forms on the wheel through trimming, glazing, and finishing your work.

Booking & Payment

All workshops and courses must be booked and paid for in advance through The Grounding Studio website.

The Grounding Studio is a private, appointment-only studio. The studio address is provided after your booking is confirmed

Your reservation is confirmed once payment has been received.

Please arrive only during your scheduled appointment time; walk-ins are not accepted.
Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled experience.

Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable and non-transferable.

No-shows and late cancellations are not eligible for refunds or credits.

If The Grounding Studio must cancel due to illness, weather, equipment issues, or circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Studio Guidelines

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled start time so we can begin promptly.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Avoid loose sleeves or dangling jewelry.

The studio is an intimate private space. Please do not bring unregistered guests unless approved in advance.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted unless included as part of your selected experience.

Please help us maintain a calm, welcoming environment by treating the studio, equipment, and fellow participants with care.
Your Ceramics

Clay is available for purchase through The Grounding Studio and is not included in course tuition or workshop pricing unless otherwise noted.

During wheel-throwing workshops, you're encouraged to practice, experiment, and enjoy the process. Each participant may select up to two pieces to be trimmed, glazed, and fired.

Your pieces will move through the ceramic process of drying, trimming, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. Finished work is typically ready within 3–4 weeks, depending on the studio and kiln schedule.

Ceramics are handmade and fragile. Cracking, warping, glaze variation, or breakage can occasionally occur during drying or firing despite careful handling. The Grounding Studio cannot guarantee that every piece will survive the process.
Pickup & Shipping

You will be contacted when your finished pieces are ready.

Finished work may be picked up at The Grounding Studio during designated pickup times.

Shipping is available for an additional fee.

Please collect finished work within the designated pickup period. Unclaimed pieces may eventually be donated, recycled, or discarded.
